Brought my car into the Fife facility for a rock ding and when they viewed it they advised they would not repair it because the ding did not go thru the window and until it did they would not recommend a repair. I appreciated their honesty.
Three to four months later I received another rock ding and decided to make an appointment with Fif

The receptionist at this facility looked at the ding I had and said she did not think that they could perform a ding repair because the ding appeared to be too big, but, she had one of the shop techs look at it and he said they could do a ding repair. A young female tech was assigned to my car and for some reason she did not complete the job. Which was the same pattern that had happened to a customer just two cars before my car was assigned to this young lady.
I wondered why the windows to the shop were covered so we could not watch the work and wondered why a young man was standing pn something inside the shop next to my car so I could see his shoulders, arms and head and watched him three different times raise his head and do a count-down and then act as if something big was supposed to happen and heard the guys in the shop sound discussed each time that whatever they were hoping for did not happen. This was unusual and just let it pass until another young man came in to discuss a job with the receptionist who looked at me while he was talking to her about a problem.
The problem seemed to be that whatever he was advised to do did not conclude with the result he was expecting. She stated did you try three times and he responded yes and it did not happen and she and he went to the shop and when they returned the young man advised me my car was ready.
He walked out to my car with myself and my wife and advised that they young lady had been called off my job for the same reason she was pulled off the job two cars ahead of mine and I wondered why I was having the same problems on my car.
He advised me that they had used a pinger to try to see if the ding in my windshield would brake and that I should watch it to see if the lines were getting larger and if they were to bring the car back and they would replace the windshield and reduce price by amount of the cost of the ding repair.
What made me question him was that he was taking me out to show me the wrong ding and when he was pointing out the wrong ding I mentioned to him that the ding he was showing me was the one that the Fife Safelite facility had not gone all the way thru the windshield and noticed that there were three fresh track marks that were identical to each other near the Fife ding and asked him what made these three identical tracks that were not on my windshield when I brought it into their facility.
He was surprised I noticed the tracks and said they were from the pinger they used to see if the ding they repaired would crack and could not advise why there were three additional tracks near the Fife ding.
Needless to say I was upset that what the shop tech who was standing on the ladder was hoping that my windshield would crack and I would have to buy a new windshield and thought I should wait a day or so before I responded to Safelite's request that I leave a review.
