Safelite Raises $3000+ for Redlands High School
REDLANDS, Calif. - Safelite AutoGlass®, the nation’s leading provider of vehicle glass repair and replacement services, welcomed hundreds of guests to its Feb. 23 grand opening celebration of the Redlands store, where they donated $3,112 to the Redlands High School (RHS) Athletic Department.
Safelite AutoGlass® presented a check of $2,000 to Redlands Athletic Director Ken Morse at the event, while sponsorships and raffles brought in another $1,112. RHS athletes participated in a series of fun, friendly competitions during the celebration.
“Ninety-seven percent of our athletes maintain eligibility, stay on track to graduate, hold better attendance rates than non-athletes and they are worth the effort to make sure that they are not sacrificed during hard times,” said Morse. “Safelite AutoGlass® has aided RHS in making sure that our athletes have the equipment necessary to compete!”
Mayor Pete Aguilar attended the festivities, saying, “We are happy to welcome Safelite AutoGlass® as a member of the Redlands business community and appreciate their partnership and generous support of Redlands athletics.”
The grand opening was sponsored by more than a dozen local businesses, including Padgett’s Cleaning and Restoration, Redlands Ford, Caliber Collision, Redlands Auto Body, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
