Safelite Names Joe Black General Manager in Austin
AUSTIN, Tex. – July 5, 2011 Safelite AutoGlass® announces Joe Black will be named the new general manager for the Austin market after the retirement of Steve Short. Short served as the Austin general manager for more than 30 years.
Black is a 14-year employee of Safelite AutoGlass®. He started as a driver, and has held many positions prior to his current role as the Jackson, Miss. general manager. Joe has achieved many accomplishments in his past years, including leading one of the first markets to roll out Safelite’s newest installation tools and multiple years in the top five markets for customer satisfaction scores in the company. He will begin Aug. 1.
