Safelite Makes Appearance at London Triathlon
COLUMBUS, Ohio – On July 31, 2011, Safelite AutoGlass® associates represented the U.S. at the London Triathlon for parent company Belron’s 10th annual Afrika Tikkun fundraiser. Of the more than €1 million raised internationally by Belron® businesses, Safelite AutoGlass® made the largest contribution of €176,000 ($250,000 U.S. dollars). Belron’s is the world’s leading vehicle glass company.

Gary Lubner, Belron’s CEO, shared with participants, “This year was a special year for many reasons. It was the 10th year that Belron® has competed and we hit some incredible milestones. We had over 1,000 people registered from 18 of our business units around the world. This really shows the incredible spirit and generosity of the Belron® people around the world.”
Safelite’s participants also performed well, with our female individual sprinters taking three of the top four slots – congratulations to Jenny Kipker, who placed 2nd, and to Amy Robinson and Donna Gibson who finished hand-in-hand for 3rd and 4th.
