Safelite AutoGlass Partners with Red Sox to Support Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island
BOSTON – During the 2016 MLB season, Safelite AutoGlass® will donate $200 to Make-a-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island every time Red Sox batters 3-6 in the batting order hit a homerun during official home games at Fenway Park. For a special time, between May 16 and May 31, 2016, the company will double the donation to Make-A-Wish to $400 for Fenway homeruns hit by all players in the batting line-up.
Giant Glass, owned by Safelite AutoGlass since 2012, began this campaign back in 1996, averaging $24,000 each year.
“At Safelite, we support charities both close to home and across the country,” said District Manager Steve Koos. “We’re pleased to continue to make this impact for local children facing life-threatening medical conditions who deserve an opportunity to relax and smile.”
The Safelite team of 12,000 employees nationwide, including 300 in Boston, has repaired and replaced more windshields than anyone. Last year alone, Safelite served 5.4 million customers.
“We hope Red Sox fans will have an extra reason to cheer for each and every homerun made this year, thanks to this special partnership,” Koos added.
