Safelite Acquires AAA Mid-Atlantic Auto Glass
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Safelite® Group, the nation’s leading vehicle glass services company and owner of Safelite AutoGlass®, has reached an agreement to acquire substantially all vehicle glass repair and replacement assets from AAA Mid-Atlantic Auto Glass LLC, a joint venture owned by wholly owned subsidiaries of AAA Club Alliance and Club Assist. Additionally, Safelite will become the preferred partner for members of all Clubs associated with AAA Club Alliance for auto glass repair and replacement needs. The transaction was completed at the close of business on April 8, 2016.
Clubs associated with AAA Club Alliance serve members in parts of 11 states and the District of Columbia: Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, and Ohio. All technicians and customer service representatives will be retained, enhancing Safelite’s ability to service AAA members of ACA-affiliated Clubs and commercial clients through its 17 store locations and mobile service in this area.
